| Dear Y’all, I am happy to tell you that the letters and updates that used to appear in this spot can now be found at the Polka Dot Banner website. Not only can you read about my books, but I have a blog there. Just go to http://awakemotherearth.blogspot.com/. I hope you’ll tune in and keep those comments and questions coming. And don’t forget to check out some of the other authors at the site -- there’s some interesting reading there. Meanwhile, below -- at last -- is the photo of the ceremonial staffs I made last fall. Though all of the elements are present on every staff, each is particularly attuned to one of the Five Elements of the Chinese system: Water, Wood/Wind, Fire, Earth and Metal. The feathers, stones, plant material, shells, tassels, "bracelets" and other material come from all over the world. They are sold as art in a gallery but are meant to be working staffs, to be used for blessings, clearings, fixing intentions and whatever else the owner comes up with.
